Recently bought this little guy for practicing while travelling. It didn't cost much although it's fully functional instrument even if short-scaled (I mean, it's a slap machine, and high register can be reached, and chords, and pretty much each technique can be applied whatsoever). That plastic thing can be taken off - so the guitar is generally very light😻 The tone - well, you're getting just what you paid for. It reminds of a jazz bass, yes, but I would add some active preamp🤔 Good news: bridge, pickups and all parts are just standard, so you can change them for better ones if you like. 

I think Vox did great job this time! I mean - it's perfect for travelling, the thing can be packed as cabin luggage and still a fully operational bass. Wish they did same style model with doubled strings 4+4, as Vox used to do in 60's😻👍
