Madrone Yamadori

A half cascade in the wild. I have no plans to extract it, just admire it and protect it. Exquisite size and form for its age, usually they're much taller and straighter. Blessed.

Spring colors

Benihime J. Maple and my oldest coastal redwood. Bright green new shoots and pretty little white flowers. Those leaves are bronzed out fast.

So I'm starting a bonsai garden and could use a pointer or 2 for watering. The 1st go around got root rot from over watering and I'm proper soil drainage. Root through rock, 5 years strong. It's been through triple digit heatwaves and a few squirrel attacks and yet it thrives. I didn't want to dock it back that far but im just glad its alive lol
