I know this might not be the forum for this question, but if there are actual botanists on here, are lychee and rambutan just elaiosomes but people are like the ants distributing the seeds? I did willingly carry this into my nest after all.

My merrigolds are blooming

Let me introduce you to Marimo (also known as Cladophora ball), a rare growth form of Aegagropila linnaei.

I have been wondering for some time now about their edibility, but have found no conclusive evidence to that topic (definitely edible from a fishs perspective), much less any nutritional values or data. Do any of you have a suggestion?
