It was a beautiful day to go by the river on my lunch break today. Any day by the water is a good day really.
Water can have many moods but mostly calming for me. It's probably why I enjoy fishing so much too.

Got a few after work. There was very little wind if any and with the weather being as good as it was.... fishing after work was almost a given lol.

Was pretty exciting catching this 21 inch smallmouth up north in Wisconsin.

I want to start but need pointers. I live near the Sacramento  River ( American River LA Riviera Access point ). What can I anticipate catching? What do I need ? Which baits are best for what kind of fish? Is it realistic to expect to catch a salmon this Salmon Season ? And Where ?

Best catch so far is a 15 lbs Halibut on a 5lbs line 😂

I got off work early today and started the weekend fishing earlier lol. Today fished both sides of the Colombia River today. Had a lot of bites. Got a few and lost a few other than these. God bless me with good weather a job and good fishing..... and the weekend ain't over yet

WE caught the bigun together…sure it was on bros gear, but I would’ve caught her on mine if he didn’t frag steal (I had a nibble and then he threw the chatter bait at where I was fishing). 4.6 kilos, released unharmed to finish spawning season 

And then, just to prove a point about it all, I caught the lil one on a JerkR. Let him back unharmed for catching next year.

Now the temperature dropped again, so it’s mid day fishing only during next week.

I got a few and its a good start to the weekend.... well I can't think of a way that is a bad start to a weekend.  The smallmouth that 1.9lbs has a leach at the roof of its mouth.
