Endurance workout

Today, I rode approximately 19.5km. I rode along the beach for much of the journey. I did so when the outside temperature was 27 to 28°C and the Sun was shining bright, but at least I got some decent photos.

I went for a 10.5km bike ride today and I think the photos I took today were even better than on Thursday.

Magical Atmosphere

Today, I cycled for about 13.8km, granted this includes when I walked my bike due to feeling unsafe biking or needing a rest from it. I took these photos along the way. I also took a couple of videos, but it seems I cannot attach videos along with photos, so I opted for just photos.

I saw three ibises along my path. Many people dislike these birds, but I admire their intellect. I recall reading reports of them picking up cane toads in their beaks and thrashing them around to stress them and cause them to release their poison. Then they dip them in a body of water to remove the poison and then enjoy eating the toad with less poison. Ibises can survive cane toad poison, but it makes the toads less pleasant of a meal for them and they learned this strategy makes the toads more appetizing.

I also saw a sign that indicated that horses regularly exercised on the beach I was on from 6am to 10am each day, which seemed so random.

Cycling again: random sights and avian companions

Today, I cycled along Pallarenda again, riding 14.13km and in less time than yesterday, too, and created some brief videos at the beach pointing out the horse sign and the names of the mountains and hills you can see in the distance. I hope yous enjoy. Apologies for the clouds in the video, it was an oddly cloudy day today given yesterday was largely cloud free.

Cycling with a brief geography lesson.

I have been cycling lately. Even though before about a fortnight ago, the most recent time I had cycled was when I was 8 years old and back then my bike had training wheels. I still don't have the best balance, so I have been riding with training wheels. Today, I rode approximately 10.4km, and this took me to a local beach and back. Here are the photos I took.

Just a casual trip down to the local hardware store (20 km from my house), first I thought, that I had overestimated the carrying capacity of my Burkley Nomad, but in the end: my new AC came home safely-ish. 😄
