What no one tells you about speaking English a lot is that eventually you start forgetting words in your mother tongue and you’re like wait did I spell that wrong?

Today, I reached a 900-day learning streak in my Brazilian Portuguese journey. I don't claim to be proficient, I usually only spend about 5 mins a day learning, but becoming proficient was never my aim. I started learning Portuguese for the same reason I read the Harry Potter novels (the only fiction books I've read without having to for school): to impress a really lovely Brazilian person I met on here that felt unattractive. To show them that even if they struggled to see their beauty, I saw it, and I thought it was worth working hard to impress them.

How many languages out there seemed like their sentence is jumbled up compared to the translation in English? 
I have noticed that my microphone normally has a delay turning on when I go to speak on Duolingo

A lot of people say French is the romance language.  I've heard French, it's not.  

Of all the languages I've heard to me the most pleasant to the ears is Estonian.  

Listening to their folk music is quite an experience.

Estonians also have a habit to eliminate spaces.  Especially when they run words together like Sünnipäevanädalalõpupeopärastlõunaväsimatus
