I get your point my dude. Cote d' ivore is a former french colony. Yet the point im making is this. English, french or portuguese speaking former colonies have their own dialects of these mother languages. So much so that a native french speaker will not be able to communicate at all with a african french speaker. I have lived in 16 countries. A first world exame of this is Germany. In Berlin we speak Alter Deutsch. Which im fluent in. When i travel south, where they speak Bavarian, i only understand about 50%. In Switzerland, they speak Swiss Deutsch which i do not even recognise. In South Africa, there are at least 3 different versions of english that may not be understood by a native english speaker. These variables obviously influenced the statistics mentioned.
