I think it's only bad if it becomes an obsession and if it comes to the point it's clearly affecting/taking a toll on your life. However, I'm not against anyone who sees and wants to pursue a direction in their lives. If anything , I commend those who do (because life is hard enough as it is haha). Just please everyone, be sure to take care of yourselves too. :]

I think being ambitious is alright. But too much ambition, to the point where you would do anything to achieve something (i.e. stepping on other people for personal gain), is when it starts becoming a bad thing.
