Make-up video tutorial

Do you see make-up video tutorials on YouTube or a make-up video reels and want to copy them? I saw one on eye-shadow this week to make the eyes stand out more for a night-party style & decided to give it a try. So this was the 1st time I've ever followed a video-tutorial. Then I went out & showed my boyfriend IRL tonight but he didn't comment about my face or the colours. He usually will say I look nice or my eyeshadow is sparkly or some type of comment but maybe my eyes tonight were too smokey/heavy compared to my normal make-up looks! I also didn't have the right blending brushes for the eye-define, eye-shadow and eye-line but thought it was OK for a 1st attempt. U can see slight difference here compared to my eye make-up in my 1st 2 profile pics, after following the video-tutorial. Anyway back to my question at the start of this post: who has followed a make-up video tutorial/reel? A few other questions too: Was it a fail or a success? What was people's reactions - Did they even notice any change? Or did u need more practice? (edited)
