Went to my cities first medieval festival this past weekend and it was so fun. Its a shame there isn't more close to me. 
Me and my siblings even dressed up! 
And of course my brother won the costume comp.

Went to my first Ren Faire recently. Had a ton of fun and can't wait to go to more. Got some really cool basic sword lessons that made me want to try and take up fencing.

Definitely a cool place to go if you love history of Medieval Japan. This my photo from last summer when I visited. The historians and archeologists in the region are escavating the ruins of the castle and rebuilding it to how it looked in the 17th century. It is definitely worth checking out if you make it over to Odawara.
