Punk Rock!!!

I made a video for my first band when I was 18. It was actually a punk Wave band but played Neo psychedelic as well. This is a weird song and actually the first song we ever did. We had a four track that we used. And I said I'm going to need 10 vocal tracks. And the guys laughed at me. 10 tracks later, I ping-ponged 10 backup vocals and had this wall of whispery Queen style backing vocals and one track left for my leads. Pretty cool song I think!

Finished the salute to one of my favorite proto punkers Yesterday. The New York Dolls, true pre-punk Trail Blazers. Take 1/3 Rolling Stones +  1/3 women’s clothes + 1/3 mud bath = the New York Dolls. Raw reckless swagger in lipstick 💄

With some exceptions like SNFU and others, did real punk die in around 1987? Did the political messages sound and meaning die as grunge started to take off? A friend of mine who's older, wore bovver boots and suspenders daily and a repertoire of punk knowledge and I have discussed this many times. What's called punk now and since the 80s isn't punk.
