I had a question for all my Latin American Friends out there.

What is the difference in formal and slang when learning Spanish. I work for a place that is very diverse and I’m learning Spanish but the problem I have is that what I’m learning is not as similar and what I’m hearing around me. Would anyone know how to explain this better?

The difficult thing about Spanish is its immense diversity, some formalities are slang in others. Formal is more official and professional, it's the basic of the language, slang is more fun and teasing. Basically, just use what you learn and make your own personal culture of that language
