Oumukade Character Analysis

Oumukade is one of the characters in the anime/manga series "Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan" or "Nurarihyon no Mago" in Japanese, written and illustrated by Hiroshi Shiibashi. The series revolves around Rikuo Nura, a young boy who is part-human and part-yokai or supernatural creature, and his journey to become the next leader of the Nura Clan, a powerful group of yokai.

Oumukade is a giant centipede yokai and one of the antagonists in the series. He is a member of the Gokadoin House, a rival clan to the Nura Clan, and serves as their feared executioner. Oumukade is infamous for his brutal methods, including his signature move, the "Rib-breaking Dance," where he uses his many legs to pummel his opponents.

Despite his fearsome reputation, Oumukade is also a loyal and obedient servant to the Gokadoin House. He obeys orders without hesitation, even if it means sacrificing his own life for the sake of his master's goals. He is particularly devoted to his leader, Seimei Abeno, and will do anything to assist him in achieving his objectives.

Throughout the series, Oumukade serves as a formidable opponent to Rikuo and his allies. His immense strength, speed, and durability make him a challenging foe to defeat, and his relentless pursuit of the Nura Clan puts them in constant danger. Despite his evil tendencies, however, there are moments in the series where Oumukade displays a sense of honor and respect towards his enemies, hinting at a more complex personality than what meets the eye.
