Drewe Henley was an English actor born on February 2, 1940, in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. He was best known for his role as Red Leader, Garven Dreis in the original Star Wars film, A New Hope, released in 1977. Henley had a successful career spanning several decades, in which he appeared in over 30 films and television shows. He remained active in the acting industry until his death on February 14, 2016.
Henley trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where he developed his skills in classical theatre. After graduation, he quickly landed several roles in West End productions, which helped him build a solid foundation in his acting career.
