Jack Warner is a renowned British actor who is best known for his portrayal of PC George Dixon in the popular TV series, "Dixon of Dock Green." Born in London in 1895, Warner began his career on the stage before making his way to the silver screen. After serving in the British Army during World War I, Warner began working in the theatre, making his debut in 1919. He appeared in a number of productions throughout the 1920s and 30s, including Shakespeare plays and musicals. After his success in the theatre, Warner made his way onto the big screen in the 1930s, where he quickly became a familiar face to moviegoers. He starred in a number of films, including "The Belles of St Trinian's" and "Holiday Camp." However, Warner's most notable role was that of PC George Dixon in the TV series "Dixon of Dock Green," which aired from 1955 to 1976. The show was a huge success and made him a household name. He was loved by audiences for his portrayal of the kind-hearted and dependable police officer.
