Goran Kostić is a Bosnian actor, director, and producer who is renowned for his work in Hollywood and European cinema. He was born on 18th November 1971 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and grew up in a family of artists. Kostić studied acting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Serbia, before moving to the United States to pursue his career in the film industry. Kostić made his acting debut in the 1990s, appearing in several Serbian and Bosnian films. He gained recognition for his performances in films such as No Man's Land (2001), which won the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards. His performance in this film also earned him acclaim, and he was nominated for several awards, including the European Film Award for Best Actor. Kostić's career breakthrough came when he landed a role in the TV series The Sopranos (2002-2007), playing the character of Dr. Emil Kolar. He also appeared in other popular TV series such as Seven Seconds, in which he played the character of Pete Jablonski. Kostić has since appeared in a number of other films and TV shows, including Sugar (2008), In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011), and The Big Short (2015). Kostić has also ventured into directing and producing, and in 2006, he produced and directed the film Artikon, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
