Apart from her success in journalism, Borchsenius is also an accomplished author. She has written several books, including her debut novel, "Forbrydere" (Criminals), which was published in 1994. Her other notable works include, "Silkeborg-sagen" (The Silkeborg Case), "Den sidste arbejder" (The Last Worker), and "Engle og dæmoner i Islam"(Angels and Demons in Islam). Borchsenius is also a recipient of several awards for her contributions to journalism and literature. In 1998, she was awarded the prestigious Cavling Prize, Denmark's most distinguished journalism award, for her coverage of the Balkan conflict. In 2016, she was awarded the Danish Academy’s Great Prize for Danish Language and Literature – the highest literary honor in Denmark – for her extensive work in journalism and literature.
