Abdullah Avcı is a former Turkish footballer and current professional football manager. Avcı was born on January 15, 1963, in Trabzon, Turkey. He started his career as a footballer, playing for various local clubs in Turkey, including Trabzon İdmanocağı, Denizcilik İşletmeleri, and Trabzonspor. Avcı played as a goalkeeper and made over 100 appearances in his professional career. After retiring from football, Abdullah Avcı immediately entered the coaching profession. In 1998, he started his coaching career with Trabzon İdmanocağı, where he coached the youth team. Later on, he served as the assistant coach for Trabzonspor and then the head coach for Trabzonspor Ünyespor. In 2006, he began his journey as the head coach of İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor, where he made an impact in Turkish football. Avcı's greatest achievement as a coach was his success with Istanbul-based club Beşiktaş. After joining the club in 2010, he built a strong team capable of challenging Turkey's biggest clubs.
