What 16 personality type is Perez?

Perez from "Awake" (2012) can be analyzed as an ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) personality type. This manifests in several notable ways in his character.

As an Introvert, Perez tends to keep his thoughts and emotions more internalized, often focusing on his duties and responsibilities rather than seeking social interactions. He demonstrates a methodical approach to his work, relying on concrete facts and real-world experiences rather than abstract theories, which aligns with the Sensing aspect of his personality. This makes him detail-oriented, and he often prioritizes practicality over speculation.

The Thinking dimension showcases his analytical nature, as Perez tends to make decisions based on logic and objectivity rather than personal feelings. He approaches problems systematically, striving for efficiency and reliability in his investigations. His Judging trait emphasizes his preference for structure and order, as he values rules, plans, and schedules, often working methodically to achieve his goals.

Overall, Perez embodies the qualities of an ISTJ through his grounded, reliable, and diligent approach to his work, making him a stabilizing force amidst the chaos of the show's complex narrative. His personality type accentuates his role in maintaining a sense of order and providing practical solutions in challenging situations, highlighting the importance of duty and responsibility in his character arc.

Which Enneagram Type is Perez?

In the TV series "Awake," the character Detective Michael Britten can be analyzed through the lens of the Enneagram, particularly as a 1w2 (Type One with a Two wing).

He grapples with a moral compass that drives his actions, evidenced by his dedication to solving cases and helping those around him. This manifests in his strong connections with his family and colleagues, as he deeply cares about their well-being. His willingness to help others and his empathetic nature serve to enhance his resolve and purpose, reinforcing his commitment to uncovering the truth in both realities.

Overall, the combination of the principled approach of a 1 and the caring motivation of a 2 allows Britten to navigate the complexities of his life with determination, balancing his sense of duty with emotional engagement.
