Gary Morton was a comedian, actor, and producer born on December 19th, 1924 in New York, USA. Morton quickly rose to prominence in the entertainment industry in the 1950s as a comic, performing in clubs and on television. He was best known for his witty one-liners and his deadpan delivery, which kept audiences laughing for hours. Morton married legendary comedienne Lucille Ball in 1961, which helped to boost his profile even further. With Ball, he co-produced several of the most popular sitcoms of the 1960s, including The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy. Morton also made frequent appearances on these shows, often playing himself or other comedic characters. Morton continued to work in the entertainment industry throughout his career, also branching out into film production and screenwriting. He produced the 1979 film "The Runner Stumbles," which starred Dick Van Dyke, and also co-wrote several scripts for the television show "Mama's Family." Morton passed away on March 30th, 1999 at the age of 74 due to lung cancer.
