Weitory Personality Type

Weitory Character Analysis

Weitory is a character from the renowned anime film, Vampire Hunter D. The movie, which hit the screens in 1985, is directed by Toyoo Ashida and based on a series of novels by Hideyuki Kikuchi. Weitory makes his appearance in the latter half of the movie as one of the antagonists tasked with killing the protagonist, D, a half-vampire, half-human hunter.

Weitory is the captain of the group of bandits that terrorizes the village of Ransylva. In the beginning, he is shown as a man with a penchant for violence, with his gang looting, raping and burning down any village that comes across their path. He is ruthless and unforgiving, and they show no mercy towards their victims. However, despite the brutality, Weitory has a code of honor that he follows. He carries out his heinous deeds with a twisted sense of justice and a belief that he is entitled to the rewards of his work.

Despite being the captain of the bandits, Weitory is not their leader. He follows the orders of their real boss, Count Magnus Lee, who seeks to take over and rule the world. The count tasks Weitory and his gang with the mission of capturing and killing D. Weitory, being a loyal and obedient servant, sets out on the mission with his team. His skills as a fighter and strategist come to light during the pursuit, as he devises cunning plans to capture D.

Weitory's character adds to the dramatic tension in the movie as he plays the role of the hunter, in contrast to the depiction of the protagonist as the hunter. However, as the story develops, Weitory shows that he is not entirely evil but also has an element of self-preservation in his motives. Through the thrilling action sequences and intense confrontations between the two foes, Weitory emerges as a crucial character in Vampire Hunter D.
