James Edwards is a prominent American basketball player and coach. He was born on November 22, 1965, in Seattle, Washington, USA. Edwards also worked as the head coach for the NBA G League team, the Texas Legends from 2017 to 2020 before taking a hiatus from coaching. In addition to his professional career, Edwards made significant contributions to his community. He established the James Edwards Foundation in 1994, which provides scholarships and support to young people in need. Edwards also served as a mentor and role model to many young basketball players. He remains a popular figure in the basketball world and is regarded as one of the most skilled post players of his era.
