One of my favorite generals in history is Hannibal Barca and this is hands down my favorite documentary covering all of his movements and battles over the nearly 20 year period he was harassing Rome. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Roman history and recognizes the genius of Hannibal.

A 2023 Netflix documentary that follows legendary archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass and his protégé, Dr. Mostafa Waziri, as they lead rival teams in the Saqqara necropolis. Their goal is to uncover un-looted tombs and find the long-lost pyramid of a forgotten Egyptian king.
The documentary provides an exciting, behind-the-scenes look at modern archaeological digs and historic finds.

Now watching: 'Unknown: The Lost Pyramid'

This documentary was genuinely very good, well put together and has me convinced that the Zodiac Killer was this man. Seemed like a slow burn but it came together at the end. Well worth the watch and highly recommend it to everyone if you're into serial killer stuff.

what’s the best documentary on YouTube you’ve come across?

Looking for recommendations on some of the more famous missing people cases. There's so many options but I am having a hard time finding the quality documentaries.

Right now for me personally economy is interesting, but it's literally happening in real life. Also, we've been taught about massive debts and the problematic borrowing of USA for less than 20 years, and the current situation of the its government does not surprise anyone. So I would be very happy and thankful if anyone sent me a few links to interesting documentaries. I don't want to watch documentary about Afghanistan, about the situation in Cuba (don't remember how that conflict was called), I've watched a short documentary about Argentina and even read a little bit about its current debt repayment plan and actions, WWI and II is a prominent part of school curriculum here in Lithuania so no point in sending me links about that. History, architecture, development of science, current progress on treating untreatable diseases and so on.

Recently I watched the Netflix collection called "African Queens" and I just want to shout out that the series focused on Queen Njinga had speakers and experts who were from the regions being discussed or otherwise closely related to the subject!

In particular, I enjoyed hearing the perspective of Democratic Republic of Congo's Queen Diambi. Who better to reflect on the perspective of an African Queen than a literal African Queen! ☺️

And Angola historian and former minister Rosa Cruz e Silva. ☺️
