If you have room in your campaign or are looking for a group to play with leave a comment. Trying to find a preferred in person group in the GTA. I’ve recently been DM but would love to play again.

Looking for DND Group

So last week my level 18 party fought hard against a magma primordial and managed to seal her away, and as they were leaving my party's barbarian/paladin picked up her sword called the Calamity Blade when I ended session because honestly I was surprised he just went for it when things got hairy as they fled her lair, Igot some inspiration today before session tomorrow and made it a cursed item that's basically a natural disaster sword that's absolutely gonna knock my players socks off lolol

Finally got introduced to D&D when I was nearly 30. Spent my entire life essentially salivating over the idea this live fantasy role play and improv. Now 5 years later I'm in my first consistent campaign with a group I love. I do wish I had an in person campaign too, because sometimes about physicality makes it so much more fun for me. One step at a time.

Late Bloomer

So I have my online table later with my lads and recently a new player joined, he's played at my tables on and off and him and I got together when he first joined and we decided he would actually be a paladin of Tiamat. Most of my table follow Bahamut and we thought it would be really cool to have a secretly evil PC trying to thwart the party.

So after his character really intergrated with the party I started leaving crumbs on ways for him to redeem himself and right the wrongs done to him, he took them hook line and sinker, too bad his patron, a Red Greatwrym, is rather upset that he didn't return the priceless relic the character was supposed to return, gonna have a "blast" tonight 😂

I’m starting to plan my next dungeon. I would love to hear some ideas from others.

Some background information: The group is headed to the Temple of Memory. When they arrive, the entire temple will be empty, similar to their last one. Their goal is to find the hidden room, and collect the chain. 

Since it’s the Temple of Memory. I would love some mind game puzzles lol.

I want to learn to play D&D, can someone teach me? It's something I've had for a long time, I would really like to learn how to play it or I also accept chess classes, which is something else.

I was recently commissioned to do a concept character for a Veteran (former US Marine - Once a Marine, Always a Marine) that I found loved gaming, Dungeons and Dragons, Larping and Pokemon Go. Interesting fellow and senior!

He tasked me to come up with a design for his half Elf/half Tiefling. He wanted Satyr Legs and a Scorpion Tail, tanned skin, orange eyes, and a very unique weapon design. The armor he wanted was Autumn Leaf like armor and scales. 

This was fun to watercolor!

This is Loerdben. She is a bloodcap fighter I designed to be the comic relief character, and who, through a series of shenanigans and unfortunate events, has become the dino riding sheriff of a medium sized trading town. The townsfolk love her. She can't read, and has forcibly deputized the paladin of truth to help with paperwork.

Homebrew monster

Tonight there was a gunman near the shop. We had to wait inside and lock the door until police caught the gunman before we were allowed outside. 😱

Level 8 adventures...

But the DM thinks entirely removing spell absorption and storing charges, and leaning into expanding the wizard L1 prepared spells and L2 arcane recovery features is still overpowered?! Instead she gives me 10 charges + enspelled feature?! Her option is more powerful, so why refuse my original design?? Some DMs just can't handle the unknown and the impromptu.

To think I wanted to modify the robes of the Archmagi in a similar way instead of buy the stock standard for 20,000gp. This DM is completely inhibiting creativity. She gave 125gp on top of our starting gold the entire campaign and we're L8!! She gives legendary items to the trouble maker barbarian that attacks our own party. But she can't give a super nerfed version of the staff of the Magi? I think it's time to call it quits because this DM doesn't know how to allow player agency.

I crafted a heavily nerfed version of the staff of the Magi; but even with the nerf, trading off the spell absorption and charging for spellcasting flexibility and survivability suit my character even better.

Looking for D&D groups,

I've been running the show for over 20 years now. It can be a burden, but its one I carry happily to see my players enjoyment. I found im much better at the systems than weaving the storylines, so I'd like to bounce ideas off anybody who fancies themselves a thoughtful writer. In that same vein, anybody new to dm-ing or just the game in general, feel free to reach out with questions, I'll help however I can. Happy questing!
