Appreciate your DJs!

Nothing is better than having someone come over to talk about the music after a set. Doesn't even have to be a compliment, even an acknowledgement alone means a lot. Also video fx crews behind the scenes!

Female Geralt Ver 1

The first version I did of female Geralt for ren faire. I’ve been practicing special fx make up for a while. Scars/wounds (with blood) and looking dirty/grimy. And I think the grimy make up turned out very good for this cosplay and actually got a lot of compliments on it. Because Witchers are… read more

Blend the stolen colors back to the world. I've made this game.

Hello Souls. I'm a game dev. Wish you happy summer with great news. My game ColorBlend FX: Desaturation is on sale. The colors were removed from the world and the Splatians need to return them back. It's a puzzle platformer metroidvania. And it's part of the summer sale now.

Jamming setup done!

Yay, got my XR18 mixer setup to go through Reaper to add on any fx I choose, use my MIDI footswitch for the guitar, record and as well add better drum sounds to the ones I have built into my drumkit if I wish, and then it all feeds back to the mixer with each individual channel (not quite all 18… read more

I like big racks and...

This is what my rack looked like last year, this has completely changed to encompass three Power Amps and the other side of my desk contains my preamp and the Rocktron FX Simple set up, all my preamps where going into a patchbay, to allow for switching. I did try a Voodoo Labs Ground Control and I… (edited) read more

Java GUI

If I see one more tutorial about building GUIs using netbeans or some other stupida** drag-and-drop visual GUI builder, I am going to f**king off myself. Like, all they do is create ridiculously long walls of unreadable and unmaintainable code... Anyone know how to *actually code* a GUI using pure… read more

New Amp Day

I've finally done it, I've bought my holy Grail amplifier. This is a Synergy Syn 50, see my other posts for details on these, but essentially they're a modular preamp system, because Bruce Egnater realized that most of the differences in tone come from a preamp section, as opposed to a power… read more

A post about Wet/Dry rigs

I've finally put together a wet dry rig, this is something I've wanted to do forever, but here's the process If you don't know a wet/dry rig refers to using two amplifiers at once, one receiving overdrive and other non "wet" effects, so octave pedals, fuzzes and the like, whilst the other receives… read more
