Hijab isn’t just about what she wears; it’s also about how you look, speak, and carry yourself. Hijab isn’t only for women—it’s also a command for men to lower their gaze and speak with dignity. 

I often see many religiously conscious people making extremely provocative and attacking comments about women's outfits and lifestyles.

But the true Sunnah is to stand against injustice, avoid indecency, and advise others to do the same. However, this should be done with a lowered gaze and modest speech. Unfortunately, we often become overly emotional and end up acting in an extreme manner. Instead, we should try to correct and advice what is wrong with gentleness and humility.

If, after sincere effort, things do not change, then we should leave the matter to Allah. We are not in a position to pass final judgment on who is a “s*lu**t” or of questionable lineage.

The Islam I follow teaches modesty, kindness, and simplicity.

Before passing such comments—even if you already did emotionally—let’s ask ourselves: Have I lowered my gaze? Did my tongue remain respectful?

Hijab isn’t just a piece of cloth—it’s a standard of decency for both men and women.
If you wish to advise a woman about hijab, begin by practicing it yourself through your gaze and your words.

Finally, dear men, let’s protect the hijab of our tongue and eyes by lowering our gaze and speaking with dignity.
