I’m 55. Jesus saved me. Prayer keeps me. Grace covers me.

I’m a Black and Filipina woman from California who loves Bible study, worship, good books, long walks, and talking about the goodness of God.

I’ve learned that God can restore what people break, heal what life wounds, and give you a future that looks nothing like your past.

Before you go judging someone’s religion or beliefs, maybe take a quick check of your own heart first.

There is a difference between being bound by religion and being devoted to God.

If you truly love your God, why would you feel the need to hate people of other religions/beliefs? Do you love God, or are you attached to the religion as a system of doctrine and identity? Are people sometimes more devoted to defending their interpretation of religion than to the values their faith teaches? Just a thought.

Reality Check

Breathe gently.

Let your heart open, just a little.

Feel the air entering your lungs, like an invisible embrace.

Now… listen with your heart:

Everything passes.

The pain that feels so heavy today will soften.

The longing that tightens your chest will become a tender memory.

The doubt, the weariness, the confusion… all of these are clouds passing through the sky.

Everything passes.

For we are only travelers here, eternal souls living for a brief moment in the world of matter.

Like students in a school of souls, learning, stumbling, growing.

Every tear has a purpose.

Every challenge is a stepping stone.

And nothing material can define who you truly are.

You are light on a journey.

You are a spirit unfolding.

You are a child of the Infinite.

So trust.

Time heals.

Life renews itself.

And love?

Love does not pass.

It moves through lives, worlds, and realms.

It remains with you.

Take one more breath.

Feel the peace that comes when we surrender.

Feel God caring for every detail, even when everything seems uncertain.

And remember:

Everything passes.

But the good you do,

the love you share,

and the light you nurture within yourself…

those endure.

On Impermanence

My therapist *literally* told me this story earlier today.

Many hours later, I just sat down to read today’s prayer portal story…. 😮.

God is so good, funny, & amazing like that. 

He never ceases to completely blow my mind & surprise me, especially with how meticulous & purposeful His plan is.

&& let’s also not forget with how well He knows one’s life & heart 🤍✨.

And I was stunned because he was the one who added me first. He suddenly preached about his religion and lectured me about how I can't be a muslim and a feminist at the same time? 😵 I'm surprised that at this age people still do that to other people. Is it so difficult for people not to shove one's belief up someone's nose and smear it all over their face? I think it's disrespectful and inconsiderate, especially when you don't know that person and what they've been through AT ALL 🤦‍♀️ we can't just respect difference and coexist peacefully nowadays eh?

Someone messaged me before immediately unmatched me

If someone says something hurtful to me (or I have a bad thought), I always ask myself, “Would God speak to me that way?”
