As days go by, fear's dark shadow grows Torn between heart and mind, my soul it knows In this internal strife, a winner's claimed But in the victory, a piece of me's ashamed.

Words trapped inside, a silent scream Unspoken emotions, a heart's extreme A forced smile hides, the turmoil and strife A concealed agony, that cuts like a knife.

A mind aflame, with furious thought, Vindictive passions, in endless fault. A heart that screams, to end the pain, Torn between surrender, and destructive reign. I'm trapped, a maddened beast, confined, Longing to break free, from this tortured mind.

A year has passed, yet the pain remains A constant surprise, a persistent strain An unknown ache, an obsessive refrain Longing for remedy, searching for an end in vain While the world celebrates love's delight Some hold ashes, lost in endless night.

Falling through space, lost and alone Consumed by mistakes, drowned in my own Sins and regrets, a weight that I bear A coward's heart, fearing life, unable to share Failing to live, failing to die Trapped in this darkness, with no escape to the sky.

As fireworks light up the midnight sky, Others rejoice, with hopes of a new high. But I see through the haze, to the truth below, New beginnings are illusions, and I'm stuck in the woe. I wish I could believe, in the promise of a fresh start, But reality's heavy chains, hold me captive in my heart.
