Let's talk about how "mental health" has been weaponized by people in society to avoid accountability for their actions and actually hinders them from growing as individuals.

Mental health is real. But it's also become a convenient excuse for bad behavior. Psychologist Nicholas Balaisis points out that citing mental health can sometimes be an avoidant strategy or a way of bypassing the issue at hand rather than confronting it. Using mental health as a scapegoat for poor… (edited) read more

Washington State's Mental Healthcare Disaster

Lately I’ve been noticing something in the mental-health job market here in Western Washington, and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t imagining it. After digging deeper, it turns out the trend is real. Wages in behavioral health aren’t just stagnant, they’re actually falling behind inflation and the… read more

How do you let go if the same pattern persists.

I used to always act as the hero, the main perpetrator of my abuse used to always place me in the scapegoat role. Cannot find something, Sophia stole it and gave it to someone, now to find out to whom she gave that item. We are not going to care that she's in a fetal position and in a clearly… read more

When Hearts Speak Different Languages

The “blaming game” between genders has become a loop. Online especially, people aren’t really trying to understand each other anymore — just trying to win. It’s easier to say “men are trash” or “women are manipulative” than to say, “some people are hurting, confused, or reacting to their own… read more

Poor "ugly" people

pharmākos, in Greek religion, a human scapegoat used in certain state rituals. In Athens, for example, a man and a woman who were considered ugly were selected as scapegoats each year. Loving you is to declare coup d'état against myself

I can’t pursue you I’ve heard people say There is this inadequacy in my being That no matter how much I pour of my existence it will not suffice everybody’s demands Almost as if my existence is an undervalued currency A monkey money I can’t pursue you. Scenario: Younger - Golden child vs Older - Scapegoat child.

Definately a scapegoater

Scapegoaters are what we are calling them now (narcissists, Karen's, supremicists, dictators, authoritarians, kkk, nationalists, autocrats, far right wingers) Because to them anything good is alleged to be evil, they blame the good for the evil be it a person, a group or constitutional law and… (edited) read more

Here's a truth about ISTPs, taken from Boo's ISTP Artisan typology script -- "Don't push them to socialize too much. Coming out to meet you or responding to your text is already them putting in effort." Fellow ISTPs, weigh in. What are you reading?

I found this poem by Taylor Rose Godfrey this morning. It describes NFP's philosophy. I want to know how much we can strip these layers and come back to our primal human nature. So, here’s to realness. I don’t care how spiritual you are. How long you can melt in the sweat lodge and meet your… read more

A Mere Puppet

On a shelf I lay, sewn together from your pain. A mere puppet of your dismay, but only when it begins to rain. I was created from your loss, among a mist of tears. A rant on workaholics

Ladies, guys can chime in too, why do women put that they work 50+ hours a week on their profile? No man finds that attractive, that tells me you don’t have time to date yet you’re on a dating site. If you've ever been the scapegoat in a dysfunctional family dynamic...

What were some of the ways you coped? (Asking as a scapegoat myself looking for an escape)

The Boat Thief

Woe to the man who stole my boat For long is the sea without hope And while he may shamelessly gloat I will pray for the man who stole my boat. For many nights he'll have to cope In freezing wind without a coat And no matter how long he'll float I will pity of the man who stole my boat. From… read more
