There's a lot of theraputic healing & viable experience one can acquire & integrate through essentially creating a shared fantasy with another person, & living out the abstract sentiments you project your hearts into.

And as within a dream, it can transform you a lot in a very short window of time (as long as there is a sufficiently palpable sense of believable precedent fostered).

The intellect & intuition tend to detach from our feelings & senses, often, but can also become thoroughly immersed/engaged in this process, if you're someone very imaginative & able to suspend your disbelief somewhat...for a time.

You do this anytime you get lost in a book you can't put down. And you can theoretically do this with a live storyteller, if they're proficiently able to impress you with the impressions they paint.
