Yo yo! I've got some exciting news for you all!

After a wee bit of development hell, Part 1 of Academy Showdown Gaiden: The Barefoot Girl is finally finished and ready to export!

Clocking in at approximately 40 minutes and 2 seconds, this story brings anime (and manga)-inspired storytelling to life in a way I’ve been dreaming of for years. 

This short fantasy story—first written four years ago—is based on characters my brother, my best friends, and I have been brainstorming for over a decade. It’s part of a vast fantasy universe we started back in high school, though I’ve only been truly putting it all together for nearly eight years now.

There are still a few final touches before I can officially release it—most importantly, test screenings with my cast and creative partners. Since they’ve worked so hard to bring this story to life, it’s only right that they get to watch it first in its entirety.

Also, check out the official cover art of our titular character! This incredible piece was passionately drawn by my good buddy Ink Knight—as always, he perfectly captured my vision!💪🔥

I can’t thank everyone involved enough for lending their voices, talents, and enthusiasm. Their support gave me the courage to see this project through. Now, I just have to do the same for Part 2 once this one is out! 😅

I've been wanting to hire someone to create a demo reel for me but I'm probably going to have to make my own from scratch due to finances.

I got years of voice acting experience under my belt but when it comes to writing a way to show my voices off, I just get stuck.

Any advice greatly appreciated 🙏 ✨️

Any tips for creating your own demo reel?

Personally, I've only really voice acted for animated shows but in all honesty, I think I'll stick to that! 

Been trying to get into voice acting for games but meh, it's just not really the same kind of fun, if you get what I mean!

Do you guys prefer voice acting for games, e-learning/e-books or animated shows? 🤔

Found out a coworker of mine is also into voice acting, but has no idea where to start. I'm no master myself, but I should hopefully know enough to at least steer him to a good starting point. Plus, having someone in person to talk about voice acting with could be neat!
