In 1952, Klotz formed the Washington Generals, a basketball team that would go on to become legendary. The Generals were deemed the ultimate opponents for the Harlem Globetrotters, with Klotz serving as their player-coach for over six decades. Klotz and the Generals toured extensively, playing against the Globetrotters in over 14,000 games worldwide. The team's primary goal was to provide entertainment and comedic relief, often acting as the hapless foils to the Globetrotters' incredible skills and hilarious antics. Klotz's impact extended far beyond the basketball court. His charismatic personality made him a beloved figure among fans, and his unwavering dedication to the sport inspired countless individuals.
