"Midnight in Paris: Celebrating Love, Literature, and the Beauty of Shared Passions"

People make stupid decisions when they fall in love, but there is nothing more stupid than loving the person you have nothing in common with. And by this, I don't mean the 'Vegan-Omnivore', 'Brazil-Argentina', 'Hills or Sea' kind of differences. I find it comfortable when my partner shares the same kind of love with some of my minor, rather insignificant choices like getting wet in the rain, walking and talking for miles, writing small notes, discussing books and movies, enjoying cool refreshing breeze or imagining things while looking at the clouds. Gill Pender is a guy who doesn't find his comfort in the lackluster of Hollywood. Although he earns a fortune from writing screenplays, that doesn't satisfy his literary appetite. He wants to dive into the ocean of literature and become a writer, which inspires him to move in to Paris...the artistic capital of the world. On the other hand, his girlfriend finds his cute little choices weird and funny and can't even think about living outside the US, which somehow disappoints him. The movie goes on, delivering chills and goosebumps one after another. We stigmatise people as 'living in denial', who loves the past or lives in it. But this movie has a special place for the nostalgic ones like myself. Also, Cole Porter's 'Let's Do It' in the background every now and then and Hemingway's description of 'love and death' made a whole lot of sense to me, redefining my perspective and feelings. To conclude, it wasn't just a movie but an amazing experience which inspires people to celebrate the moments, the weather, the art and the company of each other, together. Sadly enough, this doesn't happen in reality but only at 'Midnight in Paris'. #aesthetic #aestheticcinema #nostalgia #movies
