New movies are....meh

Old movies were more creative, had better stories. Films like Carlito's Way, Trainspotting, and Apocalypse Now exhibited such attributes. Nowadays, film studios waste their budget on sfx and A-list actors, instead of investing in the "soul"of the film (the story). What's your opinion?

Favorite Zombie flicks? Personal Train to Busan and #/Alive. I watch way to many zombie movies and videos. I even have a YouTube video I put on to sleep and it’s a radio broadcast during a zombie apocalypse. It’s honestly pretty relaxing to listen to :)
