Cat facts

Cats' clavicles, or collarbones, are highly flexible and only loosely attached to the rest of their skeleton. This flexibility allows them to rotate their front and hind limbs independently, enabling them to twist their bodies in mid-air to land on their feet. Cats have an incredibly flexible spine, allowing them to twist and turn their bodies quickly and smoothly. Cats have inner ear structures called vestibular apparatus, which help them maintain balance and orientation, even in mid-air. Cats have excellent vision and use visual cues to adjust their position while falling. The cat's tail acts as a counterbalance, helping them to adjust their body position during the fall. Cats have quick reflexes that allow them to react swiftly to changes in their environment, including adjusting their body position while falling.
