Working on a homemade Deku costume with what I have. used to have the actual stealth suit from World’s Mission, but it got really damaged so I’m using what I’ve got now to make a new and similar homemade costume.

From 2008 to 2014 I worked at Best Buy. When Halo Reach ODST came out, we did a midnight release. I ran to the nearest Spirit Halloween and bought the appropriate outfit, then asked permission to dress up as the character, explaining it would boost sales to interact with me. It worked, thankfully. I wasn't allowed to go all out because I was technically still working. But it was definitely a lot of fun.

When Guardians of the Galaxy 2 released in theaters, my then boyfriend and I went to see it. And I, being the nerd that I am, decided to dress up in the closest thing to something MCU I could access at the time. It was one of those Leg Avenue "Lady Knight" costumes, but the dress was closer to a long top, so I wore dance shorts underneath, and added the cape and made Mjolnir out of cardboard and duct tape. There were quite a few photos taken that night, but this one encompasses the absolute joy I felt.

I was REALLY into Steampunk for about 2 years. After not too long, I realized it just wasn't my thing. But the one single convention I went to in Wichita, Kansas was an absolute blast. For the record, that giant ass boomstick was made by and belonged to the tall handsome gentleman in the second to last picture. The one in almost all black.
