In a landmark vote for Europe’s climate and energy policies, lawmakers said on Wednesday that some nuclear energy projects should be considered “green” and receive access to cheap loans and even state subsidies. I consider this a huge positive step and I hope the US follows in their footsteps!

The US uses more gas than other country (we're 4% of the world population but use 20% of the world's gasoline). We've historically had much cheaper gas than other countries. The abundance of cheap gas for decades has led to the creation of suburbs. Suburbs are sprawling neighborhoods located outside metro areas where people live and commute from, leading to extremely high gas use per person. Are suburbs a net negative to society? They certainly are for the environment.

It's been hot across the US and recently, the UK had its hottest day ever recorded. China has been breaking heat records all summer. Are you worried that climate change will negatively affect your life in a significant way?

Today I learned that the pump top to a old shampoo bottle works perfectly to plunge out clogs from my sink. Why did I have an old shampoo bottle lying around? I'm psychic, of course. It's not like I just hoard old containers in a vain hope they will be useful again someday. That would be unhealthy 😆
