Early morning mist rising on Little Gibson Lake, Wisconsin/ Upper Michigan border. No one else awake…except maybe the mosquitoes

Loons Nesting

Loon on nesting platform on Little Gibson lake. Small lake 32 acres (14 Hectares). Not the closest shot of her I know. But I didn’t want to get too close. Don’t want her to abandon the nest. The 4 vertical poles on the corners of the platform are to prevent eagles from preying on their eggs.
