Finger tapping section of Eruption by EVH...

Forgive my mess ups, my muscles are just barely able to get through all the parts just now, maybe 2 more months and I'll be able to go start to finish 😃 2 1/2 years to learn all the parts of the whole Eruption solo! I'm ALMOST there!!! It's way to slow but it's the very last part to learn. Sooo close now.

In search of opinions.

I have a Fender Stratocaster that I play through a Fender Champion 110 amp and I love its dirty sound. However, no matter what pick-up setting I use, I can't get a nice smooth/creamy sound out of it. And don't get me wrong, I do love that dirty crunchy sound, but I don't want that to be the only sound I can produce. So today I happened to have to make a stop at the guitar shop and saw an Epiphone there for $700. Now my question for those Gibson players here; should I buy the Epiphone or should I wait and save up more money and just get a Gibson?

Playing around with the Eruption tone and my Flying V

Haven't played in about a week, but the tone/sound is very much improved over the last month. Definitely has that "80s brown sound" with sagged out tubes and the right pickups. Wow after coming back and listening this morning I completely left out a whole phrase on this close to the end. Hahaha🤦🏻‍♂️ damn it! It's so hard to keep track going at WARP speed like this hahaha. I'm getting too old for this sh*t 😄
