It is an odd feeling. I had a habit of looking into my hamster's house just to see if he was still sleeping. Now, as I glance in that direction, I no longer see movement. There are no curious little eyes looking at me, and no more cute paws trying to grab my hand. One thing is certain, though: I will never forget him. You'll always be my precious, Eli.
