Respect is the key to opening the door to dialogue. The principle of reciprocity applies here as well; if you slam the door in someone's face, there will inevitably be a reaction. That is why you should always think before shaking hands with someone else.

A friend is going through a really tough time, so took one thing off her plate. I fixed the fence at the place she rents out. It’s nice doing hands on things vs the day job behind a screen. So many screws! Ha, got the hole all patched up so the tenants have a private garden again. (edited)
