Ancient Egypt never embalmed the female mummies right after death, they were embalmed after a few days of decay while a group of female attendants guarded the body because there was high chance of... Men tempering with the remains. (I'll leave that up to your imagination but the word starts with "N" and ends with "philia") Now you may think this was only an ancient issue, however in the modern time, funeral homes generally prefer to or require female employees as the funeral staff, especially anyone with direct contact with the body. Most female bodies are handled by female staff to make sure the body is not tempered with. I apologise for this, but if I know, now you know!
