I saw a reflection on weekdays (and the etymology) – it atested that Monday unites the languages.
Monday means day of the moon, and it also means that for Spanish (lunes), French (lundi), German (montag), Swedish (måndag)… In Portuguese, on another hand, it’s segunda-feira (segunda stands for second day of the week) because the Catholic Church didn’t want to use gods’ names for weekdays.... read more
