Sports are not news
When I’m listening to the news, I want to hear about what’s going on in the world and around me. Every time they take a break to talk about the sports I just tune out. I wish they didn’t even bother talking about sports because I feel like the people that care about sports are not getting their sports from a new station. So why do I have to hear about it?

Are you saying sports aren’t happening around you? That they’re not effecting the world? Plenty people do get sports news from their main source of news, because it is news and you don’t have to be super into sports to find sports news intriguing. You are choosing to limit your world intake, which in of itself is fine if that’s how you want to live, but to say sports isn’t news and to believe that people should find it elsewhere is quite presumptuous
