What happens in a relationship that takes you away from the other side?

One area that I notice men and women have very different perspectives in general is with regards to casual sexualization. 

Women by and large do not appreciate being casually sexualized. I believe this is because they experience it a lot, have heard about it a lot, have been warned about it a lot, and probably a biological component too.

Men on the other hand, by and large, are so starved for positive attention that they would jump at the chance to be casually sexualized. (Maybe not by a gay man, unless they are gay or bisexual, but I can't speak to that experience personally) 

This is just one example of gender dynamics that is particularly cogent for me. There are many more examples obviously. 

How do you think your life and your perspective would change if you could live in the other gender's body for a while? (Day, week, month, year, whatever you think/want)

Do you ever hear someones name for the first time and think this is not the right name for this person, it should have been something else, it just doesn't match with their personality?

I post this to psychology thread in case people there see it, who can suggest me ideas about situation I will explain now 

What would you recommend or advice to do, really seriously, if one person lives with several close people surrounding him and they have detrimental relationship considering it as normal
The situation is: a person there has certain desires and wishes as any human does to be authentically self and free from restrictions or frames that would limit or shape him into what he is not without his concent 
I call this "violence over will" or violence over willpower and wish 
The person is perceived by his close people as weird, alien, abnormal in his small circle of close society because he is different from life philosophy and life perception of those people dramatically
One person there especially tries by force to make him into he doesn't want to be and force their likes over him to make decisions and agreement in their favour
And such thing happens in everything 
Whatever he is up to - he gets rejection, judgement, getting criticized that he wastes himself on worthless thing and the main part those people collectively accuse him of being stupid and not knowledgeable in life properly, that they know much better and he doesn't listen and doesn't obey them to his own doom 
That man gave up and lost interest in life and doing anything because he doesn't have a place to hide to be confined 
He cannot move away from those people because has poor physical state and cannot work hard or long hours, so he doesn't have a salary to pay the rent and food that costs a lot 

What can you suggest him please if he has to stay in destructive circle of people but barely mentally can do something about change because his willpower by now is almost absent? 
He does something only in anger either he just endures their negativity talk about him trying to go somewhere from them to get away 
He stays there because those people are unpredictable, one time they are tranquil and unbothering and everything is good but in a second they can change and become really hysterical to defend themselves if he shows disagreement 
I just don't know what to think now about this situation at this point 

Arguments like "move away" don't work here because he physically and mentally cannot, that's why here I wonder what he should do through force and forcing himself to do something even if it's super difficult and everything is against him, but I feel like nothing else would help to that man 
He doesn't have stable work because he doesn't have any work he found for himself in life to feel really alright, everything he does is trying to survive as long as it lasts till changing work again and again, because he is physically weak

People's behaviour is just a reflection of their mental state

I tell you :
Please, do not, never ever, on any circonstances,  reveal some secrets about you that would hurt you !
Like something that happened before, or that you are not proud of, whatever the reason.

What could happen, is that someone noticed what you wrote, and ask you about it later, with genuine interests about knowing you better.
But, since it is something that hurt you, then you get angry against that "stranger". (Like accusing him of this or that)
You should only complain to yourself, and avoid blaming others for something you did without anyone asking you to do it.
Because in first place, only you is responsible for sharing this, not some stranger who asked you about this thingy that actually hurt you.

So, think twice, and ask to yourself : what I am about to share, would I be confortable talking about it with some stranger ? Or even with people I already know ?

Think about it. 😉

That may be happening all of the time for you :
Feeling guilty because of others judgments and behaviours.
But what really happened ?
Why do you feel guilty ?
The causes are multiples.
And the consequences very real.

This may be because someone is pointing at you who or what you are, as if it was a problem.
Like "erh ! Look at those hair ! Disgusting !".

It can be someone you wanted to speak to, that either make fun of you, ridiculing your thought, or is blocking you for no reasons.

It can be someone that refuse to allow you to think, to comment their posts here. Or that is commenting not on the subject, but on you, what he think you are, aiming at you instead of the essence and ideas of your writings.

It can be someone insisting, even when you clearly wrote "I do not want to talk with you, so please leave me alone".
(Verbalizing what you want, and not being respeced)

It can be someone who is interpreting your words, distorting them, and claim to whoever that you supposedly said this or that. While it is clearly false.

It can also be someone who clearly gives you intentions you never had, without even questionning you about them, like asking you "now say the truth : what do you really want from me ? What do you expect ?".

And so on, and so on.
Which makes you feel guilty.
Because being judged for anything that is not you.
Debasing yourself.
And, or, acting like if you were evil.
(While most of the time, people are just humans, with qualities and defects)

Consequences are about how you value yourself.
I tend to cross the path os so many kind people that clearly think they are worthless.
Honnestly, a lot of people here gave me this thought about myself, even if I know this is not true.
How could they know, after all ?
Only mirroring their thoughts, what they are, their fears, and so on.
But even knowing this, the brain record, and allow to have it registered. So even if you know all of this, it hurts. It is painfull. And you devaluate yourself without understanding the causes.

What treatment to apply ?
Take a while, and takes notes of everything you can do, from the most simple things, to some more complex.
Here is a quick list :
 - you are alive
 - you can breath
 - you can walk, even run
 - you can talk
 - you can read, write, and share your thoughts
 - you can take a sheet of paper, a pencil, and draw things (more or less successfuly, but still you can)
 - you can sing too
 - may be you can cook
 - you can follow instructions of a guide to do something 
 - you can learn
 - you can use tools to do so many things
 - you can smile at strangers, and see their smiles in return
 - you can build the "Tour Effeil"
 - you can write an encyclopedia
 - you can help the lonely nearby grandma by doing her shopping
 - you can write some informatic coding that will conquer the world
 - you can imagine what will be the future of transportation (cars, airplane...)
 - you can do so many positive and usefull things !

So, still thinking you are worthless ?
But people that voluntarily or clumsily makes you feel guilty should learn to apologize and beg for your forgiveness.

My love language is physical touch. This is me when someone unfamiliar is doing the touching:

They teach by being.
They lead by embodying.
They share what they’ve lived, because healing isn’t just personal, it’s collective.

In a world still recovering from generations of trauma and disconnection, we need more of these souls.
Those who choose love over ego. Truth over image. Depth over performance.

They come not to save us, but to remind us that we were never broken, only buried.

Together, with people like this, we begin to shift. We create healthier relationships. More conscious connections.
We stop repeating inherited pain, and start building something rooted in honesty, accountability, and care.

If you’ve met someone like this, hold space for them.
If you are someone like this, thank you. We need you more than ever.

Love bombing is a manipulation tactic where someone overwhelms another person with excessive affection, attention, flattery, gifts, and promises very early in a relationship, often to gain control or create a sense of dependency.

At first, it can feel like intense romance:
	•	Constant texting or calling
	•	Lavish compliments or grand gestures
	•	Talking about the future very soon (e.g. marriage, kids)
	•	Saying “I love you” unusually early

But the goal is often to disarm you emotionally, so you lower your boundaries and attach quickly. Once the person feels they have control, their behavior can suddenly shift, becoming distant, critical, or even abusive. This pattern is especially common in narcissistic relationships or toxic dynamics.

In short:
It looks like love, but it’s about control, not care. Real love builds gradually. Love bombing rushes and floods.

The real reason someone is empathetic depends on a combination of nature, upbringing, and experience. There is no single cause, empathy is shaped by biology, psychology, and life events.

Here’s a breakdown of the main contributing factors:

1. Biological Foundations (Nature)

	•	Genes: Some people are naturally more sensitive and emotionally attuned due to inherited traits.
	•	Brain structures: Areas like the anterior insula and the mirror neuron system are more active in people with high empathy.
	•	Hormones: Oxytocin (often called the bonding hormone) plays a role in empathy, especially in attachment and social connection.

2. Childhood Environment (Nurture)

	•	Secure attachment: A child who felt seen, comforted, and safe often develops healthy empathy.
	•	Modeling behavior: Children learn empathy by observing how their caregivers treat others with compassion and respect.
	•	Emotionally open homes: Environments where emotions were named, accepted, and processed encourage the development of empathy.

3. Adaptation to Trauma

	•	Some people become highly empathetic because they had to:
	•	Predict a caregiver’s moods (a survival mechanism),
	•	Maintain safety or a sense of control in chaotic environments,
	•	Win love or approval by attuning to others’ needs.

This is often referred to as “hyper-empathy”, it may appear as kindness on the outside but can actually stem from fear and come at the cost of one’s own boundaries and well-being.

4. Conscious Choice and Growth

	•	Some people cultivate empathy through personal pain, spiritual practices, therapy, or intentional inner work.
	•	This kind of empathy is not reactive,  it is grounded, boundaried, and combines compassion with clarity.

So what is the real reason for empathy?

Empathy is not just one thing. For some, it’s:

	•	A gift of temperament
	•	A wound turned into wisdom
	•	A skill shaped by experience
	•	A survival strategy
	•	Or a blend of all these factors

The healthiest and most lasting form of empathy is not driven by fear or guilt, but by authentic connection, awareness, and respect for one’s own boundaries.

To sytuacja, w której obie osoby:
 • Reagują spokojnie i adekwatnie na trudne sytuacje,
 • Nie grają na emocjach drugiej osoby (np. obrażaniem się, cichymi dniami, manipulacją),
 • Potrafią rozmawiać o problemach bez wybuchów, krzyków czy uciekania,
 • Nie zmieniają nagle swojego nastawienia, dziś „kocham”, jutro „nie wiem”,
 • Są przewidywalne emocjonalnie, nie musisz zgadywać, z jakim nastrojem się dziś obudzili.

Dlaczego to takie ważne?

Bo bez tego:
 • Związek staje się polem minowym, nigdy nie wiesz, co ich wyprowadzi z równowagi,
 • Nie ma poczucia bezpieczeństwa, a bez niego nie ma prawdziwej bliskości,
 • Jedna osoba często zaczyna pełnić rolę „emocjonalnego opiekuna”, i się wypala.

Jak rozpoznać, że w Twoim związku brakuje stabilności emocjonalnej?
 • Ciągłe huśtawki nastrojów: raz jesteś idealna, raz „problemem”.
 • Trudne rozmowy kończą się dramatem zamiast dialogiem.
 • Obietnice i uczucia zmieniają się z dnia na dzień.
 • Czujesz się psychicznie wykończona, mimo że „miłość” niby jest.
