How it feels living with chronic pain.

Please tolerate my little thought experiment. Imagine if the love of your life time traveled to the past, before you officially met them, and they decided to meet you early and introduce themselves as your true love in the future. How would you have reacted? I'm curious if there are major differences in responses with the different personality types 🤓

On top of negative emotions slammed, positive emotions such as love and compassion can be used to manipulate them with phrases like, don't you love me? 

Emotions create vulnerability to negativity and manipulation, so it is easier to guard and never share.

Women complain that men don't express feelings.

Sometimes I wonder if there was ever a ‘real me’… Been playing roles since childhood, adapting, surviving. You peel off layers and it’s just—blank. Ever felt that too?”

When someone checks on you, check on them too.

People don’t randomly ask how you’re doing. They often feel something. Maybe they’ve been through the same pain, maybe they’re going through it now but hiding it behind a smile.

Those who check in are often the ones who rarely get checked on themselves.

I say this from experience: I make it a point to reach out to those who are struggling, to remind them they’re not alone, that they matter. And while a few do ask me back how I’m doing, most don’t.

I usually smile and say I’m fine. But some days, I wonder...
“What if no one ever asks me back?”
“What if no one checks on me?”

So next time someone reaches out to you, remember, they might be hurting too.

Check on the ones who check on you.
They might need it more than you think.

I just had a conversation about human nature dissolve into a flurry of one sided insults, including "condescending" and "close-minded", assumptions of my education level all because I wouldn't agree with his point that humans as social animals aren't the only ones who can be altruistic because we don't know how to tell how smart they are. 

Admittedly, I did say he was full of irrelevant questions and he seemed to take that personally. I won't agree to how you want to structure things so I'm the close-minded c*nt? I think not. I never once said he was wrong, yet he still insisted I somehow insulted him personally. 

Humans are far more work than we're worth sometimes, methinks.

The art to hide emotions

I was saved last year when I wanted to take my life. Since then, I’ve been trying to learn more about myself as to why I am the way I am. That’s when I became obsessed with MBTI. Even though people say it’s pseudo science, being an INFJ describes me 99.9% perfectly. I’m also an HSP and neurodivergent. Now my friends told me to check if I have autism because of how I am. Me having autism has never crossed my mind in all of my 42 years. I said…hey, why not? Might as well get the doubt off my mind. I was thinking maybe mild traits. When I saw the results, my jaw dropped, I stared at the wall for for a few minutes in shock with tears in my eyes. Not because it’s bad being autistic, but I was just speechless. Now I want to go to a professional for confirmation. For anyone who has gone through this, how is the process?

I hate that my parents have the mentality that they’re always right. Like It’s always so hard to have a reasonable conversation with them from one adult to the other. What’s worse is that they’re not ready to change and growing up, this has given me a few trauma that has shaped my view on life…but I always tell them that I only want 30% of their parenting style…I’m not a fan of the remaining 70%
