I glued a bunch of things together and let them relax into equilibrium, and took a screenshot. I then modelled a similar system in python, assuming the torque is proportional to the angular displacement. I numerically solve for the angular displacements that minimize the total potential energy, while manually adjusting the spring constant until my model matches the screenshot. 

I then test this measurement by mounting the objects at a different starting angle and running my simulation again with my measured value of k, and it predicts the equilibrium shape beautifully! 

(Someone in our group datamined the mass values of every object, we use "Zeldas" or Zd instead of Kg)
