What's your favourite rock and why?
Also, what did the emrald say to the graphite? You rock! I've had a weird obsession with Obsidian since I saw that one guys on YouTube make spears and arrowheads out of Obsidian with... Obsidian. Honorary mention to Amber, it's not a rock but it's so effing cool.

Why did the tectonic plates break up?
It wasnβt their fault, there was just too much friction between them. I saw it. I had to share it, so here it is. Sue me. (edited)

Fossilized Wood
Fossilized wood that my grandfather gave me a few months ago. It's been sitting on my dresser since October so it's dusty af. My grandfather found it in either a creek bed or old river bed decades ago. I'll have to ask him again I can't remember which.

Not Geology
I posted in this hashtag before. I know it's Music but for some reason after a fun fact about rocks came to mind I was like "rock" as if it made sense.

I find travel is overrated as a goal in and of itself- I'm not as prone as most to the proximity high people seem to get standing next to famous things, apparently. Weather and geology might conspire to make paradise but so does air conditioning and adventures can as easily be found locally (edited)

Psyche
16 Pysche is a truly interesting object, perhaps the exposed core of a planetesimal or an object shaped by episodes of ferrovolcanism. The launch start between 7 minuts aboard a Falcon Heavy. The mass at launch will be 2.6 tonnes, of which only 30 kg of scientific instruments: a multispectral... read more
