I bought one and it's very useful for measuring shoe size. This is a quick instruction that may or may not help you. The arch length goes to the base of the big toe and is usually used to find precise running shoes. You can usually go on to the brand of shoe's website and enter your arch length there for their shoe recommendations. The width should have a tiny bit of space away from the pinky toe or widest part of the foot and you should be standing with your foot sprawled. Length is measured by the longest toe. For example, some people have longer pointer toes than their big toes, not me lol, but I've seen it and that longest measure would be what you go with. The width device is read by finding your shoe size and going  down to the corresponding letter. The letter will be different between men and women. I have the brannock device for men and women. My son had wider feet than what letters were shown but I was able to count, it's about 3 lines per E, and added each extra E as necessary.

But now he has a navy blue pair and a waterproof pair for winter/rainy days. I still need to get him some flip flops and slippers for x-mas along with a brown pair of shoes. Both my checks all blown on his shoes and socks! But now he has a few different colors in socks. A brown pair can wait... now on to the Halloween costume and Halloween events tickets. It never ends! 😫 For people who don't know we recently figured out my kid wears 6E width, so this was a pretty big deal for him but he now has shoes that fit properly.

Back to school shopping is expensive (;_;)

My teen was needing new shoes for a while now but because of his size changing so drastically I didn't want to buy the wrong width and return! I ended up finding a nice shoe store here in the Twin Cities that sells a ton of 6E width shoes! It's called XLfeet if anyone wanted to know, their website is nice too. I'm so happy I found a store for him to go to so we could properly check different widths and brands. The store owner said he's had his store for 16 years, he was great. I'm glad the demand is enough to keep him going. The selection was beyond my expectations for being tucked away in a small area. I am glad I waited, I almost caved in for 4E many times, but I measured correct on the width, he was a little shorter on the length. He is an 8.5 6E and does need extra room for depth as well. Let me tell you, that is an intense width to shop for. 

Not to mention across different brands, it's like buying women's jeans! Same width can mean different numbers in different brands! He ended up liking the shoe brand Drew. We got him a pair of sneakers and dress shoes for band nights coming up, even some dress socks. I'm going to start buying the rest of the colors I normally get for me (black, brown, grey, navy) and more socks as time goes by here but we are off to a good start. My kid said they felt a lot better and liked the rubber material that made the shoes slip on easily without needing to grip the back.

I went to greenbelt to a place called doctor leather to fix my soles
They told me 8500 pesos plus 2 weeks. I was like thats pricey but fine
But the day comes and I pick them up and it's rubber.
I had nice stacked leather soles and they replaced it with rubber. They didn't even bother to fix anything else for that price.
The sales lady said 'do you think it wasnt worth it' I said yes it wasn't worth it. She said well the rubber had to imported that's why it was such a high price.
I don't really care, rubber is rubber. If you gave me leather gloves and I gave you rubber gloves in return but said 'oh but it's imported' would you be happy?
