Brandon Sanderson + Apple TV deal

So, Apple has acquired the rights to the Cosmere. They'll be making a Mistborn movie first and a Stormlight Archive TV series after that. Brandon Sanderson is writing the script for the movie. Hopefully they do it right! What are your thoughts?

So when I hear descriptions of the battles with shardplate and blade all I can think of is something like dynasty warriors, that overwhelmingness of the armor and sword just carving through enemies.

Best cosmere starting point for beginner fantasy reader.

I started from Elantris then Mistborn to Stormlight. I'm trying to get my friend to join. I want her to be hooked in - so I'm think of making her start from Way of Kings. Since it's the best book imo. But she's new to the fantasy books. So I'm not sure if it's the best starting point.
